外籍顾问--许世静

Dr. Shijing Xu, adjunct professor of SWU International and Comparative Education Research Institute, affiliated research associate of China National Research Center for Foreign Language Education, is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Windsor, Canada. She was formerly Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Science and Technology Beijing, China. She teaches both graduate and pre-service courses such as Second Language Education; Narrative Inquiry; Social, Cultural and Political Contexts in Education; and Issues in Education.

       Dr. Xu’s research interests focus on narrative approaches to intergenerational, bilingual and multicultural educational issues and school-family-community connections in cross-cultural curriculum studies and teacher education. Her current research is on the reciprocal learning between the west and the east in a “WE consciousness”.

       Dr. Xu is the Principal Investigator (PI) of a project on circular migration (2008-2012) and Co-PI of the Canada-China sister school network project (2009-2013) funded by Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). She is coordinating the Pre-service Teacher Education Reciprocal Learning Program between University of Windsor and Southwest University China, funded by University of Windsor Strategic Priority Fund and supported by Southwest University China.
       Dr. Xu is the winner of the 2011 Early Career Award and the 2011 Outstanding Publication Award by Narrative Research Special Interest Group (SIG) of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), The 2007 Outstanding Dissertation Award by Narrative and Research in Education Special Interest Group (SIG) of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the 2007 Canadian Association for Curriculum Studies Outstanding Dissertation Award, and the 2007 Outstanding Dissertation Award in Curriculum by American Association of Teaching and Curriculum (AATC). She is also the winner of AERA’s 2005 Wholistic Education SIG Outstanding Research Paper Award, the Beijing Education Committee’s 1996 Outstanding Young Teacher in Beijing Award, and several other awards for excellent teaching in China.

许世静博士是加拿大温莎大学教育学院副教授,中加互惠學習項目負責人,碩士、博士生導師。她是 外语教育中心兼职研究员,西南大学国际比较教育研究所兼职教授,曾担任北京科技大学文法学院副院长、外语系副主任。 她目前在溫莎大學教授研究生课程和职前教師教育课程,如第二外语教育理论論和实践,叙述探究,教育中的社会、文化和政治背景,当代教育热点问题等。

她的研究关注點是通过叙事的方法来看待來自移民家庭的孩子的代际间、双语间和多元文化下的教育问题,跨文化课程教育和教师教育中的学校、家庭和社区联系。她目前的研究东西方之间的互惠性学习 (Reciprocal Learning)

许世静博士是循环式移民(Circular Migration项目(2008-2012)的首席研究员,还是加拿大人文社科基金会的资助的 /加拿大姊妹学校关系网络项目(2009-2013)的首席联合研究员。她同时是加拿大温莎大学与 西南大学的职前教师教育互惠学习项目(Teacher Education Reciprocal Learning Program)的加方负责人。这一项目获得了温莎大学的发展侧重点基金(Strategic Priority Fund的资助和西南大学的大力支持。

许世静博士在其博士学习及博士后研究师从多倫多大學安大略教育研究院(OISE康纳利教授。她获得美国教育研究会 (AERA) 教育叙事研究 2011 年度“杰出出版物奖Outstanding Publication Award”和“早期职业成就奖Early Career Award”、加拿大教育学会课程研究协会 (CACS/CSSE) 2007 年度“最佳博士论文奖”、美国教育研究会 (AERA) 教育叙事和研究 2007 年度“杰出博士论文奖”、美国教学和课程协会 (AATC) 2007 年度课程类“最佳博士论文奖”、美国教育研究会(AERA) 全面教育 (Holistic Education) 2005 年度“杰出研究文章奖”。1996 年许世静博士被评为“北京市优秀青年骨干教师”,并且由于突出的教学工作她还曾在 被授予多项奖励。
